Hello Everyone today I thought I would share my reasoning of changing gyms.
So I’ve been going to the gym for about 3 years now I first started going to DW Fitness Club in my local area and I went there for about a year.
At first when I started going I had no idea what I was doing I had never been to a gym before in my life so I decided to get a personal trainer which was one of the best decisions I ever made.
When I met my personal trainer he asked me all about my health and what I wanted to obtain from my sessions and from then I had weekly sessions and in my first month I lost about 14 pounds.
I never thought I’d be the one to go the gym daily or lift weights or even eat healthy I just always thought I’d be a fat slob but slowly I started losing more weight.
Then about a year later a new gym opened in my local area called Total Fitness which my personal trainer was switching to so I went for a look round but didn’t really like it and it was very expensive so I thought I’d stay where I was and get a different personal trainer.
About a month later I started dating my now fiancé Eleanor which I have mentioned in previous posts and started getting bored of the gym and not having much money anymore decided to cancel my DW contract and no longer go to the gym.
Then about 6 months later another new gym opened in my area called PureGym so I decided to join there and not get a personal trainer as it was to expensive at the time which was a mistake so I decided to quit PureGym and about 2 months later decided to become a member of Total Fitness which I know said was too expensive but was determined to give it a go and asked about PT sessions but again was to expensive so tried to do my own routines and I lasted about 3 months before quitting.
About another 3 months later I wanted to start exercising again so rejoined PureGym lasted about another 2 months.
But 6 months ago I joined PureGym again and at this point I was available to afford a personal trainer who I had sessions with for about 5 months which were good but then he ripped me off but that story will come on my YouTube channel in the near future.
So as much as I loved PureGym and I thought I would never quit again I have now decided to rejoin Total Fitness as I’ve been enjoying the gym a lot more recently and my local PureGym was too small for the workouts I wanted and wanted a new gym start after getting ripped off.
Luckily for me my old personal trainer from DW is still in Total Fitness and has agreed to train me again so I’m very excited to start having sessions with him and get my fitness back on track.
I think what I’ve learned from going to the gym is I need a personal trainer to tell me what to do and help me on my fitness journey and I’d recommend a PT to anyone who just walks around the gym aimlessly just do your research on the right one.
